A one page Wix site, rebuilt into a practice.

Thirty years of experience, one page to show for it.

Terry holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology, and an Oregon LPC license. He has walked with people through anxiety, trauma, addiction, and marriage crisis for three decades. Online, all of that lived in one long Wix page set up in 2021 and never touched again. Here is what we found when we pulled it apart.

  Fake testimonials, indexed by GoogleThe testimonials page still had Wix placeholder text: "This is your Testimonial quote," attributed to made up names. For a profession built on trust, that is the single most damaging thing a site can carry.

  Three different prices for the same session$150 on the homepage, $125 on the booking page, $190 on his directory profile. A prospective client who read two of them would assume the third was a bait and switch.

  Nothing for Google to rankOne indexable page. No page for anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, marriage, or family counseling. "Medford" appeared zero times. No schema, no location page, no FAQ.

  Details that quietly hurtA "Log In" button nobody used, an empty Services and Rates page, browser titles truncated to "Compassionate Counse," and a footer that still said "Proudly created with Wix."

Seven hundred plus words each, written in Terry's voice, each one targeting Central Point and Medford with FAQ schema.

  The plumbing nobody seesLocalBusiness and Person schema, a Medford area page, 301 redirects from every old Wix URL, a contact form that lands in his inbox, and a dropdown services menu that works with a thumb.

  Launched on his own domainHe kept the domain at Wix. We pointed DNS at our hosting, SSL issued, and the old site was gone the same afternoon.
